Shah Rukh Khan

MALACCA, FRI:

Bollywood idol Shah Rukh Khan is a Datuk. The heartthrob will be receiving his Datukship from the Malacca Yang Dipertua Negeri, Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob in conjunction with his birthday tomorrow.

Listed as an artiste from Dreamz Unlimited in the list of recipients, Shah Rukh will be receiving the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM).

He is among 77 recipients of the title.

Shah Rukh, 43, is a highly acclaimed Indian actor who works in Bollywood films, as well as film producer and television host.

He has starred in several box-office movies and won awards throughout his career.

Quoted from NST.

I got this info from ezooone today at late afternoon, it amused me how he got the title but again..this is the boleh land so anything can happen! But if you know what has he contribute to Malaysia, perhaops you can share it with us here??? anyone???

Maybe i should start buying home theater sconces to watch all his movies again ( mesti mau ada cinema effect ma) and see if i can find which part of it that brilliantly suggested Malaysia to give him Datukship. Hmmmm…what say you?

Nevertheless,Congratulation to Shah Rukh Khan!

This is bullshit! We are starting to give titles away for fun. The “datukship” is pointless. Seems like everyone trying to outdo each other. Let’s wait for Malacca’s next move, in probably giving Oprah Winfrey and Walt Disney datukships too.

I’m embarrassed of my Malacca state. Utter disgusting!

It seems that the title of “Datuk” bears little meaning nowadays.

If they can give it to Shah Rukh Khan, what’s stopping them from giving it to like, anyone? Like you? Like me? How about Ashton Kutcher? Or Sacha Cohen? Or Smeagol?
