Hah, after the long day at the zoo..the very next day we decided to stuffed ourself with seafood fiesta..Ok not really a seafood fiesta but we had seafood for our dinner..consider seafood fiesta juga ba tu kan? (Kecil kecil punya seafood fiesta):P

Telok Gong was the venue. This is my second time here..the first visit was ages ago with my GF and her Hubby. It has been weeks since i’ve been pestering Daniel to bring me to Fatty crab. He said he will bring me to Telok Gong instead, I was kinda skeptical about this place at first..ya la inda tau macam mana the food kan? And my first visit experience was long gone down the drain d…manala sia ingat lagi…

Turn out, i like this place.:D The deco,service and set up was superb. Food was ok for me, serving portion is just nice and and the price is affordable.But Daniel said…the food quality has gone down as compared to last time and i have to agree with him, we tasted better kam Hiong Crab else where..:(

Talking about crab. This is Daniel favorite food. Back in KK, he cracked one of his teeth because of ketam…hahaha..gila ba dia ni..na..last-last terpaksa we all jumpa dentist. Hmm..talking about gigi again..anyone know mana chepest place to get braces done here in KL? How much is it anyway to get one done? Rm1000 plus?? Or more?? I’m thinking to put braces on ba this..gigi inda cantik. Sigh.. How i wish i have Medicare supplement plan because not only they offer life insurance but also dental insurance,now isn’t that interesting!? (Ada ka insurance gigi sini Malaysia..sia ni kebaruan sikit with this matter..LOL!)

Anyway back to Telok gong…we ordered kailan vege, Salted vege soup( all for meself alone hahahah)steam prawn( this is not the one that we wanted but malas want to change we telan saja la, we just wanted the steam, plain steam without eggs on it punya ) and the kam hiong crab and the total damage cost only Rm82 ringgit. Happy happy Joy joy for both of us…heeheh.

So if you want to go Telok Gong..give this place a try. Coconut flower i think the name of the restaurant. They are famous for their toddy drinks there..:P that night,almost every table ordered this drink. I wonder how does it taste like… yup Sabahan people..i have never tried toddy before…Bikin malu kan? HAHHAHAHAH.

Do you love yogurt? I do! I use to hate it so much last time..i don’t know why. But lately,im loving it! LOL!!!

I love Dutch Lady yogurt..specially the mango,strawberry and mixed berries flavor, Yum Yum. Daniel has been lecturing me about not taking yogurt. He said i don’t drink milk at least take more yogurt, kalau tua sudah nanti banyak sakit, kau juga susah. Yup, since then i have been gulping yogurt like drinking water( yes, i don’t bother to use the spoon that they gave for free… main tuntum saja kalau sia). Although i don’t really buy it often..but i do remind myself at least buy few in a month.( 8 packet minimum).

Anyway, do you know what is the benefit of taking yogurt daily? Here is some..i just found out about it too today! Interesting. Maybe after this i should and really should take one yogurt a day kan?

1.Yoghurt has nutritional benefits beyond those of milk: people who are moderately lactose-intolerant can enjoy yoghurt without ill effects, because the lactose in the milk precursor is converted to lactic acid by the bacterial culture. The reduction of lactose bypasses the affected individuals’ need to process the milk sugar themselves.

that is why i can take yogurt…wahahaha.. yea, me lactose-intolerant woman.But very mild punya la.

2.Yoghurt also has medical uses, in particular for a variety of gastrointestinal conditions and in preventing antibiotic-associated diarrhea. One study suggests that eating yoghurt containing L. acidophilus helps prevent vulvovaginal candidiasis. Vulvovaginal Candidiasis means:VAGINAL YEAST INFECTION!

Na..kau inda mau makan lagi yoghurt? Nanti garu garu sana macam..bida oh!

3.The highest quality yogurt in your grocery store contains live bacteria that provides a host of health benefits. Yogurt that contains live bacterial cultures may help you to live longer, and may fortify your immune system.Lactobacillus casei, a strain of friendly bacteria found in cultured foods like yogurt and kefir, significantly improved the immune response and ability to fight off pneumonia.

4.Yogurt Lowers LDL, Raises HDL Cholesterol.

More reason why i should take yoghurt daily! Yes, i was diagnosed with high LDL back in year 2005! Shocking?? Indeed. An active person like me to be diagnosed with HIGH CHOLESTEROL! It’s in my gene..sigh.

In just 3 months, 16 obese men and women on a reduced calorie diet that included three daily portions of yogurt lost 61% more fat and 81% more abdominal fat than 18 obese subjects assigned to a diet with the same number of calories but little or no dairy products and low amounts of calcium. Not only did those in the yogurt group lose more fat, especially around their waistlines, but they also retained more lean, muscle tissue than subjects on the yoghurt-free diet.

Na, inda payah lagi pi search online for list of best diet pills…yoghurt pun cukup sudah. Not only it save your money, but there is no side effect too kalau makan banyak yoghurt:D

6.Reduce Your Risk of Colorectal Cancer.

Uh, one penyakit that im really worried about..CANCER! Family( Dad side), 3 has pass away cos of cancer d.

Hmm after reading all these benefits..i really think i should take more yoghurt daily kan?

My birthday is just around the corner…heheheheheh. Nothing has been planned yet for my birthday. Don’t really know where i want to go or what i want to do.

Theme park? Party like a rock star? a night stay in a hotel?Pamper myself in a spa? Hmmm..

Maybe i should just settle with something simple this year. A small gathering at my place? LIke having few friends over, have some BBQ+potluck party and chill at the pool side. That doesn’t sound so bad isn’t it?

What do you think? I believe the KL-ians can come and join me rrrriiigghhtt?? Nick,Syura, Cindy, kay kastum,Kadus Mama,Nessa and gym friends? HEHEHE

Will do it over the weekend definitely..should start around 6pm.

Oh well, I guess i need to check with the management if i could booked the BBQ pit on that night before i can confirmed everything. Once everything is OK. Invitation through my blog will be sent out. I hope you guys can make it. Would love to see you all.

Daniel, i wonder what is my present from you this year would it be diamond rings? It does not have to be big..small one will do..as long as it shine ba..hahahahahah. Kau mesti scratching your botak head now kan?Your mom birthday and mine is just few days apart..kesian…koyak buntut mau beli present kan?

Just joking la…you don’t have to get me one now..just as long as you get me one by next month ok juga tu. HAHHAHAHA

Do you love soup? I loveeeeeeeee soup! If i could i would want to have soup everyday.

So today im gonna share with you one of my favourite soup,ABC Soup and how to make it.

You need:

Potatoes,tomatoes,big onions,carrots,and chicken meat/ chicken carcass and salt. I prefer to use chicken carcass..cos i don’t really eat the meat anyway..and someone told me once that using chicken carcass is way better as it will make the soup even sweeter and tastier.

What to do:

Chopped all the ingredients. ( Quantity of all the ingredients is up to you) if you are serving bigger crowd you may need a lot more of it. I usually just use 2 carrots,2 big onions,3 tomatoes,2 potatoes and 1 chicken carcass after all its only me who’s gonna take all this in, Daniel langsung tak suka soup.

Next, you need big pot. throw everything in and pour some lurve and water into the pot..just enough to cover the whole ingredient..boil it under medium/low fire for 2/3 hours and last add some salt to your tasting…and waalaaa..you’re done!

This is the end product.

Sorry ya..the gambar not so interesting this time around..but try it, you may like the soup as much as i do.

P/s:Remember to stir your soup every now and then while waiting for it to cooked.

The last time i visited this place was back in 2002(i think) and never take the time to visit it again. But last Saturday Daniel decided to bring us there for a day trip.We were suppose to go to the Zoo Negara but it was raining so he changed his mind without “really” telling me where is he bringing me next..he kept on saying we are  going to Janda Baik… I was wondering what in the world do they have in Janda Baik??

Yes, here in Malaysia there is a place called JANDA BAIK. Hmm, i wonder why do they call this place that name anyway..Banyak Janda yg baik baik ka sana dulu? Anyone can help me with the answer?

Anyway, we have a lot of fun there.Taking pictures,feeding the fish,meeting our Permaisuri Agong in person( no joke,she was standing right next to us but we did not take any picture together.Her bodyguard was everywhere,silap haribulan kena marah and tembak how?) Showing our talent on painting plaster art and of cos the nature walk.

It was not a long journey to Bukit Tinggi. Approximately about 1 hour and 30 minute from KL. The only thing that you need to endure is the longggggggggg windinggggggggg road all the way up! I myself pening with it..thank goodness Daniel drove slow and easy if not it will definitely be a vomit fiesta in his car! I think at one point he himself said “Sia pening”,LOL!!

Entrance to this place is not free, you will need to pay Rm16 per person(Adult) and Rm8 for Children. If im not mistaken it was only RM8(for adult) back in early 2000.

Oh well,enough talking, let me just share with you some of the pictures we took that day. All this picture is taken with our own ‘DSLR” (ya right,prasan si Mel padahal digital camera Canon saja..hahahah).

Hah, Rm16 for you to enter and enjoy our own Malaysian made European Country.

And as soon as i enter this place first thing Daniel did was, gave me  5 cents coin and told me to make a wish at this well….hmm 5 cents? To make a wish?? Kedekutnya! LOL!! Anyway, i did throw the coin and made a wish, whether it will come true or not…belakang kira.

While i was busy snapping pictures, this caught Daniel’s eye…BEE HIVE!!! And this bee hive was swarming with bees!!! Wonder who rented that particular room…kesian..imagine awal pagi bangun and wanted to get some morning fresh air and next thing you know..he/she will have to be rushed to the hospital nearby pula. Yeeee… geli la. I still can imagine the bees..buzzing away.

I just love the buildings design here…cantik!

I don’t know who they are but i just want to take photo with them.

I never seen black colored swan before..but they do exist! Heh,i like the tail. I think they are unique and beautiful.

My friend saw this picture and said..ROAST DUCK! Ai yo, poor thing..

Ahhh, i saw this spider resting on her big wide cobweb!I was nervous to come near her..worried that she might just jump or fly (whatever you call) it to me and bite me..but thank goodness she did not..:) And Amie got so excited seeing this photo she even tagged her own self to this photo at FACEBOOK! LOL, SOT Amie!

The Japanese Village…this place was so nice and beautiful. So serene and peaceful..fresh air..not much noise except from the water fountain,kids voices once in a while and the earlier scream from me…hehe..i saw millipede  bah..huge one..at one of the man made staircase…it gave me a good fright!Actually that thing was dead d…but isk… i hate and geli millipede! creepy!

Again, when my friend saw this picture he said STEAM FISH YUMMY!! Sigh…i think his hungry la. Jon, how many days have you not eaten la?

And then i thought i saw Macho Man.

So sia pun apa lagi..ahem…

But then i thought i saw Shaolin Kung Fu Master pula…hmm

Rupa-rupanya… Arggggg!! Tsk tsk tsk..my eyes really played a trick on me la.

Then we made our way to Botanical Garden.

The garden was really nice..i like. Here i saw a lot of things..flower,plants,monkeys,trees and thousands of TERMITES! Yeeeeee!!!

And this particular flower caught my attention. I don’t know why but i like this flower..Doesn’t it look like a star?

After all the walking,running,screaming and posing… we decided to take a rest and makan…2 fresh coconuts and a “large” pizza total cost RM60! and it’s not tasty at all..sigh…

Oh well, guess everything is expensive nowadays..but we truly enjoyed our self at Bukit TInggi.

That was our simple yet fun and exciting weekend… how was yours?

Do you like eating sweet corn? I loveeeee sweet corn,whenever i go for my groceries shopping sweet corn is always in my must have list..

I love corn in cup but nothing beat the old school style..:D You know why? I love to eat it row by row and not to mess my jagung like how some people will makan theirs. Dan thinks im crazy..dia bilang sia makan macam tikus! LOL! But hey, i just love to see it clean. Nothing berserabut here and there..

I don’t really know since when i started eating my corn that way but i do know what makes me want to eat it that way…can you guess? I was influenced by who??

Can’t guess?? hehehe ,have you seen the old version of Walt Disney Mickey mouse cartoon back when cartoon was still black and white in color? And he was sitting in his car eating his jagung super fast and super clean??? Yup that was when i decided to try it…and man…i just loveeeeeee it so NEAT AND CLEAN but i definitely could not eat it as fast as Mickey..but i truly enjoy every single bite of it.. Sometimes i cubit one by one LOL!!

I was not in the greatest mood on Tuesday. Something just have to spoil it la…actually i wasn’t feeling anything anymore i was numb!. yea,that’s how i felt on Tuesday. NUMB!! No more emotion just NUMB! This point of time i wish i have the money to sue this MORONS!! I just wish i can….but nevermind, i know all this will turn around and bite their stupid thickos nutso square head back soon, very soon!

Sighhhhhh…i was so upset that i left the place just like that..did not even bother to return. So i said to myself, i’ve been through a tonnes lately,let’s just treat myself with things that i like…so i drove all the way to Sungai Buloh after my lunch with Daniel.

Ps: I was not argueing with Daniel in fact Daniel was the one who have to listen to my complaints after the incident…poor guy..:D Hehehe that’s what BF are for kan??

I drove all the way to sungai Buloh thinking that i could buy few more plants and pots for the house but i was not lucky!! Dang! The flowers and plants that i want…are not in the nursery anymore…dang!No more stock.. i when to all the 3 favorite shop of mine…semua habis! Sighhhhhhhh.

Then i drove all the way back to Shah Alam thinking that i could drop by at the Giant nursery which is located just outside Giant open space carpark..but no, mother nature just have to give me a good one la,as soon as i arrive Giant it started to pour like cats and dogs!!! ARGGGGGGGGG! Cancel lagi…sighhhhhhhh.

So instead of the nursery, i nurse myself by going into the hypermarket.The nursery is so near yet soooo farrrrrrr ..dang it,dang it!! After 1 hour or so… i came out poorer by Rm65 but i’m satisfied with what i bought.I bought fish,chicken wing,chicken carcass( for my soup),prawns,veges and some other stuff.

Reached home,pour all the soup ingredients to the pot and then chatted with Cindy over YM for ermmmmm…I don’t know how long exactly LOL!!!But it was a good chat .. I was complaining again about what happen earlier. Thanks Moi for reading while i whine all the way. ( ya la, she cant hear me from YM chat kan?)

6pm,time for me to cook… i was so excited about this..not only i have not cooked for ages but i get to use our newly build in kitchen cabinet also!! Yeay!!! After grueling in the kitchen for 1 half hour..this is the result.. tada!!

Fish.This is how Dan like his fish to be. Marinated it with Curry and bit of Tumeric powder and the result after…

Deep fried fish.Crispy and non greasy ..that’s how he likes it! Yea!!

And some cili padi to go with the fish..:D my fav sambal..

My all time favorite, Chicken soup.

And after all that preparation and cooking, what really made me feel happy and appreciated is this….

2 plates of rice for Daniel ( he jarang makan banyak, mau control konon, takut jadi vogok dia bilang)

and practically nothing left on the fish…bersih!

And he said… i love the food..thank you sayang.

Yeay!! That made my day…senang juga hati lupa sekejap masalah…

Everybody love chocolates!! I do but not as crazy as Daniel. Daniel is just nuts for them…any chocolates you put in the fridge will go “kapoof” in a sec…which can drives me nuts sometimes.

I remember one day( months back), he “mengidam” chocolate and i do not have any chocolate in the fridge except for my baking chocolate chips and he asked me

Dan: Sayang,apa ni?

Me: Baking chocolate chip

Dan: Bulih makan ka ni? ( yea, he speaks sabahan slang to me nowadays with lil bit of kl slang here and there..still learning la)

Me: Yea can, but i dont know if you can makan just like that la. i normally take that with baked cookies…

Dan: Oh, ok .

2 days later

Me: Sayang have you seen my baking chocolate chips?

Dan: Huh? Apa? “putting on his innocent face”

Me: You took it didn’t you and you finished it kan??

Dan:Huh, no la…i did not…”trying his best not to laugh”

Me: “trying my best not to laugh and gave him my upset face”

Dan: “Still with his innocent face” Not me ba..i did not ambil..it’s the dog.

Me: Speechless….geleng kepala.

What else can i do? It is so hard to be mad at him… seriously,with that big brown eye and that cheeky smile on his face…it’s like getting upset at 3 years old kid ,You know you just can’t do anything except….smile and walk away.

Daniel, if you are reading this…don’t even think about the chocolate in the fridge..i warn you…stay away from it, it’s mine!

That’s how we spent our weekend. We spent 8 half hour in Mid Valley. Watched 2 movies Vantage point and Jumper and fill our belly to the max with Ice cream,nasi lemak, half boiled eggs and Teppanyaki!

And we when home HAPPY!

All my life i never knew that you have to do this few step before you masak ikan bilis.(Yes,yes i don’t cook that often hence why i’m so jakun)LOL!Silly me…

1. Cabut the kepala off
2. Clean the tinaii@perut
3. Open it to half
4. Remove the tulang?(A friend of mine told me about this and im lilke HUH?! Tulang?Adaka?)

Apparently, if you do all the above your ikan bilis lagi garing and sedap and true enough memang sedap! so much better than my old style of cooking.Punyala banyak kerja mau buat this,adeh!All this while me masak ikan bilis just rendam dalam air and then goreng hahahhaha.Bosuon betul! How in the world you wanna take out the tulang? Ikan bilis punyala kecil.And to do this cleaning process punya la banyak masa you need.I tried doing it with Dan the other day he gave up after 30 min or so and i continued for like another hour and geezz my fingers punyala penat and don’t say about the smell FUH…FISHY GILA!

And the amount of ikan bilis that i bought..hmm alamat la dua bulan baru siap sia kerjakan.By then i think its time for me to throw this one out and buy another kilo of fresh bilis! Mulau! Check out my ikan bilis!

Overdose case..i believe i could feed 20 people with this ikan bilis!
