I’m officially 27 now.

May 27th, 2008 by emelda

We arrived at Poppy Garden at 9:30pm. The place was still empty but we could not get any table for 20 over people for the night, crap!Apparently everything was booked! Can you believe that???? That place was super duper huge and everything was fully booked?! Unbelievable!

In the end they let us have the whole bar counter all to ourselves and its not too bad i must say..we get to order drinks pretty easily and fast! :D 1 hour later we moved to the table right in front of us. Yea, the table was empty and i could not be bothered to wait till 12:30am to get the table…so much of “tables are all fully booked miss” Cis!! Bs betul!

The real stuff started only at around 11:30pm.Drinks were coming in like crazy by this hour. I had hmmm..let me see if i can remember clearly..2 glass of plain water,2 Baileys,1 white russian, i tequila shot and the killer for the night 2 flamming lamborghini! And yes, true to it’s name FLAMING LAMBORGHINI, this drink knock the shit out of you before you even know it! Yes i must admit i was drunk that night, i didn’t pass out like silly woman but i pass out with grace and dignity..buwahahahahahahahahah..you see, no one knew i was drunk(even i actually)till the time i sat in Daniel’s car! LOL!!! I walked, talked, danced like i was not drunk and still managed to go to mamak after that! But my whole world start spinning as soon as Daniel start driving!! The “lucky” person who get to witness me vomiting and blessing the highway was OLIEEE and Dan hahahhaha…

It was my fault i must say, i didn’t had any solid food prior to the function, the only meal i had for the whole day was Mcdonald burger and before that my tummy was also not feeling well..been going in out of the loo few times. But i was lucky as this is not as bad as my 24th birthday party! My instructors were really crazy! They gave me 4 shots of no idea what drinks was that(blue in color with Tabasco sauce in it),tonnes of vodka and the last drink that knocked me out was Vodka cranberries mixed with whiskey! After that, i could not even get out of my bed till the next day 6pm! I had the worse hang over in my entire life that time, everything was spinning and turning for me. Hehe..i guess everyone will go through that at least once in their lifetime. :D

All and all, i had great time that night. Im so happy and glad that i get to meet up with friends whom some i have not seen for the last 10 years! Thank you again to all who turned up that night and those who did not manage to come at the very last minute, we will meet up next time! :D

Telok Gong

May 13th, 2008 by emelda

Hah, after the long day at the zoo..the very next day we decided to stuffed ourself with seafood fiesta..Ok not really a seafood fiesta but we had seafood for our dinner..consider seafood fiesta juga ba tu kan? (Kecil kecil punya seafood fiesta):P

Telok Gong was the venue. This is my second time here..the first visit was ages ago with my GF and her Hubby. It has been weeks since i’ve been pestering Daniel to bring me to Fatty crab. He said he will bring me to Telok Gong instead, I was kinda skeptical about this place at first..ya la inda tau macam mana the food kan? And my first visit experience was long gone down the drain d…manala sia ingat lagi…

Turn out, i like this place.:D The deco, service and set up was superb. Food was ok for me, serving portion is just nice and and the price is affordable. But Daniel said…the food quality has gone down as compared to last time and i have to agree with him, we tasted better kam Hiong Crab else where..:(

Talking about crab. This is Daniel favorite food. Back in KK, he cracked one of his teeth because of ketam…hahaha..gila ba dia ni..na..last-last terpaksa we all jumpa dentist. Hmm..talking about gigi again..anyone know mana chepest place to get braces done here in KL? How much is it anyway to get one done? Rm1000 plus?? Or more?? I’m thinking to put braces on ba this..gigi inda cantik. Sigh.. How i wish i have Medicare supplement plan because not only they offer life insurance but also dental insurance, now isn’t that interesting!? (Ada ka insurance gigi sini Malaysia..sia ni kebaruan sikit with this matter..LOL!)

Anyway back to Telok gong…we ordered kailan vege, Salted vege soup( all for meself alone hahahah)steam prawn( this is not the one that we wanted but malas want to change we telan saja la, we just wanted the steam, plain steam without eggs on it punya :( ) and the kam hiong crab and the total damage cost only Rm82 ringgit. :) Happy happy Joy joy for both of us…heeheh.

So if you want to go Telok Gong..give this place a try. Coconut flower i think the name of the restaurant. They are famous for their toddy drinks there..:P that night, almost every table ordered this drink. I wonder how does it taste like… yup Sabahan people..i have never tried toddy before…Bikin malu kan? HAHHAHAHAH.

Pictures time…

This is only Chinese tea…not toddy or whiskey :D

Are you hungry already? :P

Let’s go to the zoo, there’s lots of things to do…

May 11th, 2008 by emelda

2 weeks back on one of our weekend activity we decided to visit the zoo. The last time i visited our Zoo negara was back when i was 7 years old, that time the kfc restaurant was still up and running and there was this “Mini Train” that would bring you around the zoo. Now, the KFC outlet has been abandon and the only visitor you see visiting that place is the milky stork :D but the train is still there though.

Although our zoo is not as great as Singapore zoo but i guess they did try their best to keep the place in order. Do you know that our zoo is managed by a non-governmental organization known as the Malaysian Zoological Society? Fully funded by its gate collection, Zoo Negara greatly relies on the support from donors and sponsors. Kesian kan? Sigh.. i hope they could raised more fund to help up keep the place. Some animals are way tooooo thin to my eyes :( but maybe that is just me..i don’t know what is the ideal weight for each animal anyway.

And oh, they have night zoo now. :) should be interesting, i can’t tahan the heat that day, it was scorching hot ..if not i may be able to pujuk Daniel to stay on till night :D just to wait for the night zoo to open. HAHHAA. I love visiting zoo, that’s the truth. I just love animal. They make me feel at ease and relax whenever im around them. I remember i spent like 9 hours in singapore zoo!! That’s as like one whole day working hours!Man, that was my favourite zoo. I had soooooo much fun there! Even the zoo in NYC could not compare to Singapore Zoo.

Anyway, here is some of the pictures we took.

Ps: sia masih sakit hati ni…sebab some of my pictures in the zoo hilang..don’t know where it when.. i’ve checked my recycle bin but i could not find it there too!! Celaka! The pony pictures pun hilang…and i paid Rm10 to take picture with the cute pony lagi tu!! Arggg…sakit hati!

This g’raf is so vain! LOL! Suka bergambar!

This E’phant is soo cute…he love to swing his kaki..it was almost like his dancing of joy..mana tidak ramai feed him with tebu that day. If you stand there but not feed him…he will “scream” LOL!! No Joke!

Hahaha..bida eh. Kurus sudah la kurus…angkat kepak tunjuk macho lagi! This Milky Stork is actually drying itself under the scorching sun after his noon dip in the pool!

Peacock.Ni yang bulu cantik inda mau mengembang..yang teda bulu tu pula mau menunjuk that day. Sot!

I wonder if this is the one who scratch the lil girl few months back?

Seladang..besar oh.so tagap!

Meet Mister Toddy! “uh..go away, leave me alone, i’m having bad hang over now”

Busy, busy..can you guess what are they doing?

Hehe..why do you think i gave you this cheeky look?

This cute lil thing is waiting to be eaten by the python. :(

Can you see me? Interesting creature..

KFC..No more. :(

On the way out… :D

That’s all peeps. :D

P/s: Anyone know any religious jewelry shop here in KL? Sunday school mau start sudah..mo beli Joliu ba.My current Joliu bit too tua sudah gia ni. :(

Great weekend.

Birthday plan..

May 8th, 2008 by emelda

My birthday is just around the corner…heheheheheh. Nothing has been planned yet for my birthday. Don’t really know where i want to go or what i want to do.

Theme park? Party like a rock star? a night stay in a hotel?Pamper myself in a spa? Hmmm..

Maybe i should just settle with something simple this year. A small gathering at my place? LIke having few friends over, have some BBQ+potluck party and chill at the pool side. That doesn’t sound so bad isn’t it?

What do you think? I believe the KL-ians can come and join me rrrriiigghhtt?? :D Nick,Syura, Cindy, kay kastum,Kadus Mama,Nessa and gym friends? HEHEHE

Will do it over the weekend definitely..should start around 6pm.

Oh well, I guess i need to check with the management if i could booked the BBQ pit on that night before i can confirmed everything. Once everything is OK. Invitation through my blog will be sent out. :D I hope you guys can make it. :D Would love to see you all.

Daniel, i wonder what is my present from you this year :D would it be diamond rings? :P It does not have to be big..small one will do..as long as it shine ba..hahahahahah. Kau mesti scratching your botak head now kan?Your mom birthday and mine is just few days apart..kesian…koyak buntut mau beli present kan?

Just joking la…you don’t have to get me one now..just as long as you get me one by next month ok juga tu. HAHHAHAHA :P

Kanou tokou

Yeay,May is here!!!

Month of May is my favourite month of the year, not only because it is my birthday month but it’s also the Harvest Festival celebration for all Sabahan and Pesta Gawai for the sarawakians, that’s mean..it’s party time for East Malaysian!!! Although it’s almost 9 years now since the last i celebrated Kaamatan festival with my family but Kaamatan still holds a great memory in me.

You know la how we east Malaysian can drink, Kalau minum punya pasal anytime saja. Morning, noon, evening or night anytime is party time for us. All you need to do is tell us where is the party venue, the place will definitely be the most happening place in town! LOL! Betul kan? Lagi lagi kalau it’s free flow booze!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH… im sure you Sabahan or Sarawakian would say..BETULLLLLLLLLLLLL!!

I remember one day, i was out with Daniel and bunch of other friends to party in town. That time Dan’s cousin fiancee was with us too (she is sarawakian, yea i guess the whole family is into east malaysian) and coincidently her friends was in town and at the same club as us. Man, that was it, it was a nut case night for us!

You should have seen how they down their drinks!!It’s totally madness!!! They were drinking beer and whisky like it’s water!!! NO JOKES!! Every single glass is bottoms up and this goes on and on and on till 3 freaking AM!!! This people just could not drink beer/whisky like how we the normal people do… slow and steady.TSK TSK TSK.

And you know what? You would think with all that drinks that they have been mixing and downing definitely they would not walk or drive home anymore but nope they still could walk straight and remember your name! LOL!!

I was speechless, scared and worried to be honest, i just sat there looking at them drinking..

Oh well, i guess as long as no one get’s rowdy or out of control when you are partying.. it’s all good! :D

I’m not sure about Gawai festival but for Kaamatan, they would celebrate it for the whole month of MAY. Nah, imagine la how many tapai, lihing, talak, montoku, tuak, beer will they down into their system by end of MAY…can you? Thank goodness this only happen 1 month in a year, imagine if it goes on for 12 month?! Im pretty sure the alcohol rehab center will be full and pack all year long. :D

Happy Kaamatan peeps!

We were kids again…

LOL! I think the last time i did plaster art coloring was like 4 years ago. That was back when KLCC Aquaria just opened and i bought the dolphin plaster art back home to mold and paint it myself. :D

Our recent trip to Bukit Tinggi, we decided to give it a go again. It was so much fun..Daniel let me choose what i want and we painted it together and to be honest we are the only adults in that shop painting plaster art. LOL!

We started at 4pm and finished our art only at half past 6! It was so tiring towards the end.My eyes can’t focused at the tiny tiny little details anymore. We obviously did not paint it like a pro but hahahah..i must say we managed pretty well and were satisfied with it.

At one point, i felt like there was an angel passing by the room. Suddenly everyone when into whispering mode. I could hear the next table parents talking and saying.. sape tu? Dari pukul berape lagi diorang kat sini? Daniel was soooo into the painting that he did not know what was going on… next thing i know.. the room was swarm by 10 to 15 people and there was this one particular Lady caught my attention… She was clad in Blue telekung, long sleeve and pair of dark blue jeans together with Her was 4 children busy trying to choose what plaster art do they want to buy and paint.

While the kids were busy painting, She was out from the shop already but there was this man who kept on going telling the kids..OK, kids you have 8 more minutes,5 more minute, 3 more minutes,1 more minutes..ok time to GO!! Poor thing, they have to paint their art in such a short time! They were given exactly 10 minutes to finish up and go!

As soon as they left, we’re being kepoh asking the shop owner who was that.. when he told us..Me and Daniel was so shock and surprise! That was actually the Queen( Permaisuri Agong) and her friends kid and all her bodyguards! And She was just standing next to us for good 5 minutes and we did not even realize it was the QUEEN!!!!! How clever!!! But then again, with all the Bodyguards following Her around i don’t think they will allow us to come close to Her to take picture..:( if only She was wearing all yellow (just like how she was dressed in the billboard) from top till bottom i would have recognize Her from the moment she step into the shop. Oh well.. at least i have seen Her up close and personal now. She is beautiful :D

Anyway, back to our plaster art.. This was the art that i picked.

and this is the end product! Tadaaaa

Not the most creative looking art but hey,i think we did pretty decent job here and now it’s hanging at our main entrance! :D

Janda Baik not but Bukit Tinggi it is.

April 21st, 2008 by emelda

The last time i visited this place was back in 2002(i think) and never take the time to visit it again. But last Saturday Daniel decided to bring us there for a day trip.We were suppose to go to the Zoo Negara but it was raining so he changed his mind without “really” telling me where is he bringing me next..he kept on saying we are  going to Janda Baik… I was wondering what in the world do they have in Janda Baik??

Yes, here in Malaysia there is a place called JANDA BAIK. Hmm, i wonder why do they call this place that name anyway..Banyak Janda yg baik baik ka sana dulu? Anyone can help me with the answer?

Anyway, we have a lot of fun there.Taking pictures, feeding the fish, meeting our Permaisuri Agong in person( no joke, she was standing right next to us but we did not take any picture together. Her bodyguard was everywhere, silap haribulan kena marah and tembak how?) Showing our talent on painting plaster art and of cos the nature walk.

It was not a long journey to Bukit Tinggi. Approximately about 1 hour and 30 minute from KL. The only thing that you need to endure is the longggggggggg windinggggggggg road all the way up! I myself pening with it..thank goodness Daniel drove slow and easy if not it will definitely be a vomit fiesta in his car! I think at one point he himself said “Sia pening”,LOL!!

Entrance to this place is not free, you will need to pay Rm16 per person(Adult) and Rm8 for Children. If im not mistaken it was only RM8(for adult) back in early 2000. :(

Oh well, enough talking, let me just share with you some of the pictures we took that day. All this picture is taken with our own ‘DSLR” (ya right, prasan si Mel padahal digital camera Canon saja..hahahah).

Normal Adult???Do we have abnormal adult fees?

Hah, Rm16 for you to enter and enjoy our own Malaysian made European Country.

And as soon as i enter this place first thing Daniel did was, gave me  5 cents coin and told me to make a wish at this well….hmm 5 cents? To make a wish?? Kedekutnya! LOL!! Anyway, i did throw the coin and made a wish, whether it will come true or not…belakang kira. :)

While i was busy snapping pictures, this caught Daniel’s eye…BEE HIVE!!! And this bee hive was swarming with bees!!! Wonder who rented that particular room…kesian..imagine awal pagi bangun and wanted to get some morning fresh air and next thing you know..he/she will have to be rushed to the hospital nearby pula. Yeeee… geli la. I still can imagine the bees..buzzing away.

I just love the buildings design here…cantik!

I don’t know who they are but i just want to take photo with them. :)

I never seen black colored swan before..but they do exist! Heh,i like the tail. I think they are unique and beautiful. :)

My friend saw this picture and said..ROAST DUCK! Ai yo, poor thing..

Ahhh, i saw this spider resting on her big wide cobweb!I was nervous to come near her..worried that she might just jump or fly (whatever you call) it to me and bite me..but thank goodness she did not..:) And Amie got so excited seeing this photo she even tagged her own self to this photo at FACEBOOK! LOL, SOT Amie!

Our ride to Japanese Village. Open mini lorry ride..scary yet exciting! LOL!

The Japanese Village…this place was so nice and beautiful. So serene and peaceful..fresh air..not much noise except from the water fountain, kids voices once in a while and the earlier scream from me…hehe..i saw millipede  bah..huge one..at one of the man made staircase…it gave me a good fright!Actually that thing was dead d…but isk… i hate and geli millipede! creepy!

Again, when my friend saw this picture he said STEAM FISH YUMMY!! Sigh…i think his hungry la. Jon, how many days have you not eaten la?

And then i thought i saw Macho Man.

So sia pun apa lagi..ahem… :P

But then i thought i saw Shaolin Kung Fu Master pula…hmm

Rupa-rupanya… Arggggg!! Tsk tsk tsk..my eyes really played a trick on me la.

Then we made our way to Botanical Garden.

The garden was really nice..i like. Here i saw a lot of things..flower,plants,monkeys,trees and thousands of TERMITES! Yeeeeee!!!

And this particular flower caught my attention. I don’t know why but i like this flower..Doesn’t it look like a star?

After all the walking, running, screaming and posing… we decided to take a rest and makan…2 fresh coconuts and a “large” pizza total cost RM60! and it’s not tasty at all..sigh…

Oh well, guess everything is expensive nowadays..but we truly enjoyed our self at Bukit TInggi.

That was our simple yet fun and exciting weekend… how was yours?
