Time flies so fast, it felt like it was only yesterday we were playing masak masak, panjat pokok, and main bubut bubut at the kampung. I still remember how excited we get everytime chinese new year comes around, we go around to uncle’s and auntie’s collecting our red packets and at the end of the day, we will count and see who gets the most red packets! “Grin”  I still remember how we use to run like a mad kiddo back from kindergarten just to get our botol susu from akung and lie down in a row in the living room getting our noon nap! LOL!!  Those were the days! “Smile”

Now look at you… you were all grown up and ready to flip your wings to another stage of life… becoming someone else wifey! Im so proud of you! Looking at your pre wedding pictures made me shed a tears..tears of joy and excitement for you and Leon. I wish both of you all the best and luck in your future,may God bless both of you and harap harap dapat la banyak banyak anak.

Sorry i have not been updating my blog lately. Been busy with work and most of the time when i reach home im half dead and the last thing i want to do is to think what should i blog about today.

I have not been blog hopping as well but that doesnt mean i have forgotten you or anything like that. NOT AT ALL. I miss visiting your blog but until i can actually find the time to do so( more like getting used to the timing and the nature of my new work :P) i WILL visit you. Do believe me i read your blog from google reader but i wont be commenting

So far, i have gone for one sales appointment with my boss in KL . Im still learning so for now i will be the shadow of my boss, following her everyhere as long as there is a sales meeting.

Today, i managed to set 2 appointment for early next week(yeay!) Hopefully we can close a deal from here I still need to learn a lot from my boss from learning how to read floor plan, remembering the size of each booth, where was our ex exhibitor located in year 06, calling potential exhibitor and ex-exhibitor and trying to imagine everytime my boss explain about the floor plan where am i exactly. ( Not easy as i have never been to this hall before and we have 4 freaking huge hall,basically thats mean we are taking the entire hall in PWTC!) Not easy. TSK TSK TSK.

Anyway, i got to rush back home to the golf club now, Daniel is there playing golf( dia bilang dia mau pick up golf pula since he injured his ankle and can’t play football) so i better go guys!

To reach the door of my office i have to climb 36 steps of staircase everyday,made 250 calls,updating the database ,MSN,Gtalks and Facebooking. Yes that’s what i have been doing for the last 1 week half since i got into the new office.

Colleagues are getting much more friendlier,they use less cantonese language and use more English in their daily conversation now whenever im around.:D

I just finish my first event yesterday, we did the official launch and signing ceremony of the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show at PWTC which will be taking place on the 29th of May till 7th June 2009. (Damn it! I’ll miss kaamatan again this year)

It was nerve wrecking for me ( mind you im so used to be on stage,getting all the attention but this is totally a different thing for me) i have to be very formal and no longer be myself in front of everyone. I have to act so corporate like which is totally new thing for me. I even have to wear my baju kebaya for this event! Where it used to be only my NIKE product! LOL!

My duty for the day was to register all the media and the main task was to usher all the minister up on stage for their speeches. Geez…i was so nervous! Not only i have to be very careful with the way i usher the Ministers from their sit ( you know like having to lower your head, show them the way to the stage but always remain at the back of them,never in front of them) but i’m also worried that i will accidentally step on my kebaya and make a “graceful” fall in front of ready to snap picture media!! Can you imagine that? That will be quiite a scene won’t it? LOL!!

Anyway, the whole thing ended at around 5:30pm,i wanted to take picture with Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir badly but hmmm…didn’t have the chance to do so. I was so busy with work that i totally miss the opportunity.Oh well,i believe i can take picture with Datin on Raya time. Apparently Datin will invite everyone in the office to the open house! Now,that i can’t wait! oh i forgot… She is the Chairman of our company. But she doesn’t come to the office often la..:D hmm something for me to look forward to in this coming raya. YEAY!!! ( i hope by Raya time,i don’t have to use acne scars cream due to the hectic schedule ahead of me )

Third day at work. I still have nothing much to do except helping around in the office and doing some calls to confirmed their( invited guest) attendance to the upcoming official launch and signing ceremony of Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 09.

Working in an office enviroment is definitely a big different for me. One, i have to wear office attire where in fitness industry you are free to wear casual wear day in day out unless if you have a meeting in the head office. Two, office is very quiet, everyone seems to be so busy , no noise, no chit chatting , no music,no laughter,all you could  hear is the keyboard sound tapping away. How sad is that?  How nice if everyone in this office could be more lively and chirpier in the morning… sigh.

Anyhow, i’m still alive and well in this office. Guess i’m adjusting myself pretty well with this new environment. Although, i do feel bit like “makluk asing” here as im the only who is not chinese in this office and also the only one who converse in english on daily basis ( the rest semua “ching chong” sana sini) but i guess i can make do of it,bukannya i don’t understand them Ching Chonging but i just can’t converse in chinese as good as them.

P/s: This office is only LADY office. No MAN allowed.

As soon as i got back from KK trip i was once again attacked by sore throat,flu and cough bug :(  so menyedihkan la. I hope i will get better by  tomorrow as it will be my first day working with the new company. Imagine kalau i need to get MC on day 1 itself,don’t think that will be good ain’t it? I’m still having the KK trip effect on me ( which happen everytime i go back home). I miss home badly (guess that is the reason why me sakit,missing hometown) sigh. If only i could stay longer in KK,that would be awesome.

Anyway, as soon as i got home from kk i got a  text message from NIKE asking me to drop by to the office collect my product. I didn’t expect much as i did received few product before i left for KK but to my surprise…. it was whole loads of stuff! Wohooo!!!( actually i forgot that my NIKE Manager did say that my other product is on the way). I’m so happy with the new products because they have few things that made me go…woweeeeeee!!!

SBG event was a SUCCESS!! I would like to say CONGRATULATION and WELL DONE to the KK team Jacq,Julian, Dino, Fara,Wei Chuen and Papaj for making it a big success, without you guys the event won’t be rocking!

I had a great time at the event,getting to know new people,making new friends and of cos seeing the familiar faces once again :D.

I was really happy to get to meet Chegu Carol in person at last,although we didn’t get to spent so much time together but i really enjoyed chatting and taking pictures with you. Next time, kita pi karaoke pula kio chegu carol?

4 more days to go, i will be home sweet home. Having home cooked food, pampered by mom..ah, lovely!

I’m just so excited la, it’s been nearly a year d that i have not visited my mom, finally the day has come. I can so smell the sea breeze, feel kk heat,noises from my lil nieces and mom’s wok. Hehe…that’s home for me.

This trip i want to visit apa the mall you all call that in ums area? 1 Borneo? Betul ka that? eh is it in UMS area? LOL!!! Sia inda ingat.. Tip of borneo ( yes i have not visited this place ever in my whole life, pathethic me!) One of the resort in Ranau ( Dan’s idea) and maybe do some BBQ at sea side or maybe island hopping! Tengok la if the weather’s good.

I will be in kk for a week.. wonder what else can i do there?? Beside PARTYING like there’s no tmrw…getting pissed drunk (not for me though,LOL) seafood galore,visiting places that i’ve  mention aboved (which some only takes half day tour,LOL) what else can i do?

isk… I’m so excited ni! LOL!!!Gila already…kalau ikut hati…i want to hop and skip around the house like a bunny!

And after nearly a year of telling Auntyj how much i wanted to cuddle Ethan and bite his kaki…i believe( cross finger) this trip will allow me to do so…hahahahahah “evil grin” jaga la kau Ethan ..habis kau kena gigit! Mommy kau sudah bagi me green lite to come and visit you…hahahah! Hmmm, i wonder if i can visit Shemah’s baby girl or not…… Shemah boleh ka? I promise i won’t gigit your baby girl cuma maybe cubit saja kalau geram..LOL!! Can? “grin”

Ba okla …before i get too hyper and merepek in this post..i better get going. Need to masak maggi, i’m hungry and i want to play PS2…wahahaha yea im addicted to PS2 now!

So yesterday i went for an interview, well i was suppose to go for 2 interviews but decided to go for only 1 at the end. Why? Because i found out that the other company was just a bogus event company. (Knighters d’est.Nama pun sudah cacat! ) Thank goodness i did some research ..kalau inda ntah la apa jadi. I was lucky that someone actually did post an entry and blog about this company..he/she was saying that their so called training was actually to ask the trainee to go around and ask for DONATION!! Donation for SPASTIC Children!!! Tsk tsk tsk..how cruel is that??? Event company asking donation and using SPASTIC children center as a bait?? That’s doesn’t sound right la..anyway Daniel told me to call the company and asked them for their company website and i was not surprise when she gave me this website as their company website www.pvcollections.com and goodness me she said it with no hesitation at all…penuh semangat and confident ada la..jangan main main! TSK TSK TSK!! Some people ar…sigh.

Anyway, my interview yesterday went really really well It was a pleasant interview(or in my case chat) with the CEO of the company. He was very “real” person, the type of a person who you know have worked his way up to be where he is now and understand how it is to be working as an EXEC of the company. Not like some  people..jadi CEO saja, hidung terus ntah tinggi mengalahkan GUNUNG EVEREST! You get what i mean?? Those that never really worked so hard but just because they know how to suck up to the boss and they got the promotion. This people are the one that irritates me the most..geez!

We had a good chat in between the interview.We even talked about football games,fitness,cars,cufflink( i can’t help but notice his nice Transformer cufflink and found out he’s a big fan of comics). The office is pretty small office. They only have 11 staff at the moment and they only do 2 major event in a year.Beauty event and Motor sport event He did however tell me that althought he only do 2 major event in a year, that doesnt mean this job will be a “GOYANG KAKI” job as all the major events is planned 1 year in advance!

After the long chat with him…guess what????

I GOT THE JOB!!! WOHOOOO!! Although he did say “i have another 2 more candidates to interview today, i will ask my secretary to call you by friday if you get the job but to be frank with you i don’t think the other 2 candidates can beat you!”  Man, i was soooooo happy when he said that , i know i’ve nailed that job….walked out from the room with a big smile on my face and soon after that the Secretary called me and told me that im starting on the !5th of August. Ahhhh, how sweet was that???And to make everything even sweeter… I WILL BE SEEING YOU ALL IN KK FOR THE SBG EVENT!!!! Yehaaaaaaaa!

That was my interview process yesterday…no stupid silly interview question like “what is your weaknesses”, What would people describe you as if i would ask them about you” bla bla bla….hmmm im never a big fan of those questions actually, I find it is just plain annoying and can be intimidating sometimes specially if you have a nutso interviewing you..talking about that..when i did my THG interview, the interviewer asked me the typical interview questions which was fine at first, but then the confusion starts when he started telling me .. i don’t want txt book answer but i want your answer.. i was like huh? But this is MY answer..how do you want me to answer you???  i was so close to telling him why don’t you answer the questions then if you want to hear your own answer? ( I Wonder what will happen if i do so??) LOL!

I have completed the sales training, i pass the exam and got the job!!! Yeaaaaaaaa… i should be happy right? LOL. Well i am actually, i was thrilled that i made it! But at the end, i didn’t take the job offer. During the training session, reality hit me and brought me back to the world.  The first 2 days of the training all they talk about was MONEY. How much MONEY you can make if you close a deal, What is the amount that they bring back after closing a deal…bla bla bla…you know how they are…how they try to “Blind” you with big lum of moolah!! Obviously , you will be motivated to close deals…but on the third day that’s when everything brought me back to the world…lol.

Don’t get me wrong , this company has made bunch of millionares just by closing deals.  How you asked? Well, the cheapest package in the company is at USD20 thousand per head +24 % service charge( Malaysia Grand Prix event)and u need to sell minimum 6 package per table! With that much amount of money, who do you think we target? Who do you think our “victim” is? Definitely the Company Owner or Decision Maker kan? So, now to get the company owner personal number do you think its easy? For me, the answer is no! I have to go through Gate keeper la…this la that la…eh…banyak eh! On top of that i have to make 150 calls a DAY!!! After work i still need to find my own leads ( 150 and above) and then do some research on the company…sighhhhhhhhhhhh. At the end…i am a 24 hours working machine.(something that i don’t enjoy doing)

The monthly salary is nothing here. To be honest, you can’t survive with that money. Imagine, just the parking fees itself cost you Rm12 a day(cheapest Rm8 but limited parking space),food at least RM10,my car  Rm90 for full tank… that it self cost me shit loads of money! And how many times do you think i can be lucky in a month to be able to close a deal???  A deal that cost loads and loads of MOOLAH? Sighhh…I did some research on this company, some said they did not close a deal for good 5-6 months! Can i live just on the basic by then??Hmmmm….i don’t think so.

To top this all up, i will lose my NIKE sponsorhip(due to long working hours, hard for me to commit GX classes). This something that i am not willing to let go just yet at the moment… i have build everything from scrath for the past 9 years to be an A listed NIKE athlete and for me this opportunity is not something that comes by everyday.So at the end..i said bye bye to the job.

So now, im back hunting for job again tomorrow i will have 2 interviews. This time it’s an event company. I know this is also another long working hour job but at least this do not require me to find 150 leads and calling 150 PA’s a day just to get the CEO or DM personal number and with good time management i am still able to teach a class on the weekend (as i do not have to do research and find 150 leads) and i still have my nike sporsonship in hand.

Oh well that’s my latest update peeps on my job hunting and my sales training experience.

Oh btw, If you want to make big bucks and basically dont mind working around the clock….go search THG, They are actively looking for people to work for them :D  My spot is currently empty ;P
