Today’s post not gonna talk much about workout but it will be about my dog Gummi.
As you all already know, she has been diagnosed with chronic kidney problem recently and it was a heart breaking news for us but we are trying to cope with it the best way we can.
No one can tell how long will she still be with us but both of us hoping it will be few more years, i’m not ready to let her go…honestly.
It has been 2 days now since she’s on her dialysis pill… she seems to be coping well with it..she got her appetite back but she seems to be drinking less water..another headache and scary thing to see… if she get’s too dehydrated..we will have to admit her and get her on drip.
SIGH…
Dan checked online and did some research on this kidney problem..apparently it’s a common thing for dog over the age of 4.. so to those of you out there who have a pet dog who aged more than 4 years old, i suggest do go and have their blood test done at least once every year if not 6 months once… that’s how i found out about gummi’s problem anyway.
Blood test won’t cost you much , i believe it ranges from rm50 – rm100 depending on the place and clinic that you go to. Gummi’s blood test cost me Rm80. What cost us the most is actually her can food formulated specially for kidney patience..which is at Rm8.20 a day and her dialysis pill that she needs to take daily which is at rm2.75 each pill.
She will be going back to the clinic again next month and get her blood test done.. hopefully some improvement on her blood reading… Im really hoping it will improve and not go spiraling down the drain although i know kidney once rosak..no turning back sudah….but still i am hoping for some miracles…
I will update this blog on Gummi’s progression every now and then..
Anyhow, here is my workout for this week…550 reps workout.. actually i tried doing this last week but i could not finish the whole routine sebab ada saja yang mengacau time time sia workout ..got fed up with it, i left the workout just like that.. but im gonna finish it this week and hoping that no trainers give me a heart attack or headache while i try to chill and relax and get my workout done! If not im gonna ask them to buy me a corsets next time around cos they’re hindering me from getting my six pack done! DANG IT!
My routine:
for warm up i did 20min cardio at 15% gradient , speed at 5.5 max.
My strength training:
1- Full squat with 10kg barbell.- 50 reps
2-Curtsy lunges leg lift with kettlebell 15 ponds- 50 reps
3-Pike Jump- 50reps
4-Butt raise – 50 reps
5- deadlift with 10kg- 50reps
6- Leg elevated dog pee workout- 50 reps
7- half burpee and push up- 50 reps
8- step up chair with hamstring stretch- 50 reps
9- over the chair kick- 50reps
10-side plank- 50 reps
11- small abs crunches- 50 reps.
so yup guys, that’s my workout for this week… of cos it wont be all the way 550 reps workout ..i will mix it with time challenge again.. but have not decided on what it is just yet. Once done, i will info info sini…
Oh i forgot, aside from her dialysis pills and diet, she is also required to take vit b and c to help her immune system.. half a pill a day and yes..it’s human vitamin b and c that she’s taking…Doc advice.
And her dialysis pill have to be chilled below 4 degree Celsius
